STUDY: The Importance of Magnesium For Heart Health

RECENT STUDY: Magnesium intake is inversely associated with coronary artery calcification A recent study examined whether magnesium intake is associated with coronary artery calcification(CAC) and abdominal aortic calcification(AAC). The researchers found that a simple 50-mg/day increase in self-reported magnesium intake was associated with 22% lower coronary artery calcification and 12% lower abdominal aortic calcification.
